In this detailed review, we will explore Hostinger’s VPS plans, pricing, performance, features, security, ease of use, customer support, and whether they are a worthy investment for businesses, developers, and hosting enthusiasts. We’ll also do a benchmark.

Overview of Hostinger’s VPS Hosting

Hostinger’s VPS hosting is designed for users who need more power and flexibility than shared hosting can provide. VPS hosting gives users dedicated resources and better control over their environment. Whether you need a virtual server for web applications, eCommerce platforms, or development projects, Hostinger aims to provide a cost-effective solution without compromising performance.

Hostinger’s VPS hosting stands out due to its affordability, making it a strong contender against competitors like SiteGround, FastComet, etc. However, does the lower price mean compromises in quality? Let’s analyze each aspect in depth.

Hostinger offers 4 VPS plans, designed to cater to different user needs, from small projects to enterprise-level applications. They use KVM, so you’re guranteed to get the allocated resources. Here’s a breakdown of the current VPS pricing:

Unlike shared hosting, VPS provides dedicated resources, giving users full control over their server. Hostinger’s VPS plans come with:

  • Full Root Access: Users can install custom software, tweak server settings, and configure the environment as needed.
  • Multiple Operating System Options: Supports Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, and more.
  • Dedicated IP: Enhances security and enables better SEO performance.
  • Snapshots & Backups: While automated backups are not included by default, users can manually create snapshots.
  • Unique IP Address: You get a unique IP with each VPS plan, not shared with others.
  • Docker and Kubernetes Support: Enables containerized applications for modern development needs.
  • One-Click Script Installer: Allows easy setup of applications like WordPress, Joomla, and Magento.
  • Unlimited Website Hosting: Run multiple websites on a single VPS instance without performance degradation.

Ease of Use & Control Panel

Hostinger provides a custom-built control panel instead of cPanel. While it lacks some advanced functionalities of cPanel, it offers an intuitive interface, making VPS management easier for beginners.

Getting Started

If you decide you do want to try Hostinger’s VPS, here is how to get started and all the steps of setting up a VPS:

  1. Choose a plan. Once you select a VPS plan, you’ll be taken to your Cart where you can select the billing period and add a coupon code. The longer the billing period, the lower the price is. Of course, if you also use a coupon code, the price will be lower.
  2. The next step is creating an account and doing the payment.
  3. Once all that is set up, you can select your server location. A location with the best latency will be suggested for you.
  4. The next step is to select an OS, select a control panel, or select a pre-installed Application. There are lots of options for each selection.
  5. You also can optionally install the Monarx malware scanner on your server, which is the next step. You can disable/uncheck this option if you prefer it that way.
  6. The next step is setting up your VPS – root password, hostname, SSH keys.

And that’s all. Once your server is ready, you’ll get an email. Then, managing the server is pretty easy with all the tools and support Hostinger provides.

Conclusion: Is Hostinger VPS Worth It?

Hostinger’s VPS hosting is a solid choice for users looking for a budget-friendly yet reliable solution. It offers excellent performance, full root access, and scalability at an affordable price. However, if you require automated backups or advanced control panel features, you may need to look elsewhere or opt for paid add-ons.

Best For:

✅ Developers and businesses needing a customizable hosting solution
✅ Users looking for affordable VPS hosting with solid uptime
✅ Those who don’t require cPanel but prefer a simpler interface
✅ Growing projects that require easy scalability

Overall, Hostinger VPS provides a great balance of price, performance, and features, making it an excellent choice for many users. If you’re looking for an entry-level VPS solution, Hostinger is definitely worth considering.
